We're ALL chained.

We're ALL chained.

“I'm so tired...”

“...but I can't stop...”

“I can only go with the flow...”

-----------------------------------------------------------

People are caught in cycle, a vicious cycle that goes round and round without kind exits. We can only move on; because there are people in front of us (they drag us forward) and there are people behind us (they push us forward) that keep moving on. We're all the same; for we're all caught in line.

CHAINED. An invisible chain. CHORES. Many meaningless chores.

Like it or not, we can only move on.

Oh, is this the right thing to do? Or are they just bad habits? Unpleasant but necessary? I have a feeling something isn't very right. Why do I keep doing THIS? And THAT? And all so many of THESE? And THOSE?

This goes on until the day we go away from our pathetic lives... And probably even then, we're still caught the same.

You can slow down. You can be sick. You can complain and curse. You can even be dead.

But our bodies and souls will move on – in line. For our bodies, and minds, and souls are already long chained on together with the rest of the people around us.

How many sunrises and sunsets to be leveled?
How many new moons and full moons to be silhouetted?
How many more springs and autumns to be witnessed? - before we can be set free.

MOST forms of resistance are useless.

Most? Ya. Most. There are very few solutions.

Now the question: How do I break this bad cycle? How do I free myself?

My head spins... And good luck to all of us!

-----------------------------------------------------------

PS: It surely sounds like a very sad story, doesn't it? No, it's not! It's actually meant to be a positive comical reminder of what we're doing everyday – that some of us may have doubts about the directions of things going.

Materialism versus Idealism

Materialism versus Idealism

Life's short. Time passed fast. Before Johnny knew it, he had to, in a way, decide if he should opt for the passion of his life, which was music, or the cruel reality of sustainable living, in a big monetary city.

In fact, he wasn't given a choice. Coming from a relatively underprivileged family meant that he could only give in to the reality.

He would have very much liked to strive for a balance. He tried, but he was too young to be skillful in it. He failed miserably. In the end, he became so stressful and turned insane...

... ...

Stress is a phenomena taking place everywhere, all the time. We should learn to understand how it arises and deal with it.

Do you know how your stress comes around? The nature of it? And what are your solutions?

Interracial Marriage gives peace

Human beings are constantly in wars. We're in wars inside and outside. Wars take places because of ignorance of the real truth. We fail to see that we're all living life forms. We fail to see we're on the same boat sailing toward the same destination.

More often than not, we only see the physical differences among us: the colors of our skins, the different religions we believe in, the choice of foods we choose to eat, different parts of the world we come from and thus different cultures we are brought up with. There SEEMS to be so many differences among us...

Instead of embracing the beautiful diversity of human kinds, we choose to alienate with each other.

Some people believe, one way to help reduce the conflicts of races, religions, and cultures is to encourage interracial marriage.

Babies and children born of interracial parents usually see things in parental love rather than parents' skins or the traditional costumes they wear.

"I love my mommy, I love my daddy. Who are they? They're my mommy and daddy! I love them."

"My dad is red, my mom's white. My granddad is black, my grandmother's yellow."

"So much love! So colourful! I love them all. I love all colours!"

To keep things simple, it's that simple.

Eventually all single races will move on to another realm and newer generations with gray scales who blend all races, all religions, all cultures, and all backgrounds are here to stay.

And the result? Quite likely a more peaceful world and less wars.

It's much easier then to focus on the truly important things in life.

Are we all in the same boat sailing toward the same destination?

Yes, we are.

Searching for something

Searching for something...

(Click on for clearer picture)

“Searching for forever... turns out to be... forever searching..."

We're searching for something, something so undefined, something vague. Yet we're sure there is something worth searching for in life. Many times we search for this very important something outside. We seem to believe this very important thing lies in the material and physical world.

And the thing is: It doesn't.

This very important thing that we've been searching high and low doesn't exist in the material or physical world. It's all in the mind. It's all in the soul. And it's always been there. There is no beginning, and there is no ending.

We've been searching for our soul. The purpose of our lives.

Our soul.

Our immortal and everlasting and perfect soul.

Once we find it, we will achieve permanent peace. And the purpose of our lives.

Once a week, Johnny the Moron

(Click on for clearer picture)

Johnny "the moron" once worked at a farming factory. One of the jobs he hated most was milking the cows. He always asked himself why he had to do the work everyday.

One day out of the blue he came up with a brilliant idea: "Why not once a week? Just leave the milk in the breasts and collect it every week, instead of everyday!"

He thought doing so could cut down the amount of time he spent everyday and yet still be able to collect a total of 6-day milk at the end of the week.

Applying the same analogy, some people believe they can:

1. exercise once a week for 3 consecutive hours (total = 3 hours) instead of exercise everyday for 30 minutes (total also = 3 hours).
2. drink water four times a day 500ml each (total = 2 liters) instead of once every hour 200ml each (total also = 2 liters).
3. pass bowel movement once a week (In one big lump sum with hardened stool; refusing to take any vegetables and fruits) instead of pass motion everyday (With smooth and adequake portion without hurting the anal lining).

4. bring their children for a weekend material shopping spree (Total = 6 hours plus materialistic bonding) instead of reading 30-minute spiritual bed-time stories to them every night (Total = 3 hours plus quality family bonding).

5. visit his/her mother once every week at the old folks house for half-a-day (Total = 6 hours; plus his/her mother's lonely and emptiness feelings) instead of having his/her mother to stay with them and accompany her an hour everyday (Total also = 6 hours; plus warmth and sense of togetherness).

You'll be surprised how many of us do things these ways...

Do we understand how frequency versus quantity (versus yet quality)?
